El objetivo del artículo es analizar de qué manera la legislación agraria, la tensión entre el ejecutivo estatal y los diputados locales, junto con el reclamo de exclusividad sobre la tierra baldía por parte del gobierno nacional, suscitaron incertidumbre sobre los derechos de propiedad en la primera mitad del siglo xix. Al enfocarse en las garantías sobre la tierra o las dificultad para acceder a ella, este artículo revela una vía de análisis que permitirá relacionar un escenario en el que ni el gobierno nacional ni el estatal lograban asegurar los derechos de propiedad, con la resistencia de los propietarios y poseedores de terrenos a pagar impuestos por sus predios rústicos.

This article analyzes Venezuelan Chavismo as an unstable formation gnawed by the unsolvable contradiction between, on the one hand, the politico-theological ambition to totalize sociality as a visible 'people' collected around the invisible 'Spirit' of Venezuela's 'Founding Father' Simón Bolívar and, on the other, the non-totalizable theopolitical energies of a social field suffused with myriad globalized 'spirits' that admits no clear-cut demarcation between 'visible' and 'invisible' or 'material' and 'spiritual'. Incapable of totalizing sociality as a discrete 'society', the political logic informing Chavismo, as with other recent populisms, shifts from hegemony to 'dominance without hegemony', a situation where, à la Humpty Dumpy, the 'people' is whatever is 'lovingly' decreed as such from above, always in tension with a host of deconstructive, often theopolitically imbued agencies and spirits.

En el año 2007 se realizó una reforma a la división político-administrativa de Chile, la cual permitió la creación de dos nuevas regiones. Los argumentos esgrimidos por el Ejecutivo para impulsar dicha instauración, se encontraron en las continuas demandas realizadas por la comunidad durante más de 30 años y por las condiciones de homología cultural, social y natural de esos territorios. Sin embargo, si se observan detenidamente algunos de los elementos estructurantes de esas nuevas regiones, resaltan algunos desequilibrios y diferencias territoriales. El objetivo de este trabajo es conocer el funcionamiento de las nuevas regiones, utilizando un modelo gráfico simple, basado en la técnica de la coremática. ; In 2007, there was a reform of the political-administrative division of Chile, which allowed the creation of two new regions. The competent authorities argued that there is a continuous regionalism demand made by the local community since a long time ago (more than 30 years), but it also exists homology of cultural, social and natural background of those territories. However, carefully observing some of the structural characteristics of these new regions, some imbalances and territorial differences can be seen. This paper presents an analysis of the development of the oil industry in Mexico and its importance for the economic development of this country. First, the development of said industry from its beginnings at the end of the last century to the 1970s is analyzed. Second, the relationship between the oil industry and the foreign policy followed by Mexico is analyzed, where Oil has been used by the governments of that country as an instrument of foreign policy through which it has sought to achieve national objectives in international politics. Finally, the last section analyzes the role of oil in the forging of the economic crisis that Mexico has suffered since 1980 and its role in the current process of trade liberalization and structural adjustment of the economy. ; En el presente artículo se presenta un análisis sobre el desarrollo de la industria petrolera en México y su importancia para el desarrollo económico de este país. Se analiza en primer lugar, el desarrollo de dicha industria desde sus inicios a finales del siglo pasado y hasta la década de 1970. En segundo lugar, se analiza la relación existente entre la industria del petróleo y la política exterior seguida por México, en donde el petróleo ha sido utilizado por los gobiernos de dicho país como un instrumento de la política exterior mediante el cual se ha buscado realizar objetivos nacionales en la política internacional. Finalmente, en la última sección se analiza el rol del petróleo en el forjamiento de la crisis económica que ha sufrido México desde 1980 y su rol en el actual proceso de liberalización comercial y ajuste estructural de la economía.
